Snax Tigers supports relief for earthquake disaster
The Lae Snax Tigers presented a Container of Biscuits to the Mendi Muruks over the weekend to assist with Fundraising for the Victims of the recent Earthquake in Southern Highlands and Hela provinces.
As two rugby league teams, we wanted to assist the families and victims of the recent disaster by using the Mendi Muruks Rugby League Franchise which represents the people of the affected areas.
Where we can assist as human beings and as Papua New Guineans when people are in need we all should do our part and as a team based in Lae we feel for the people who have been effected. We have a couple players from those provinces so we wanted to show our support.
Franchise owner Ian Chow said we are enemies on the field for 80 minutes but off-field we support each other when in need.
The Tigers also played a trail match over the weekend against the Goroka Lahanis and beat them 14-4.
Thanks to the Goroka Lahanis for coming down to Lae.
